Cooks fish barn has very good fish and it is worth the drive to go there and get some. Thank you cooks for all you do and making the best tasting fish.
Loved the all you could eat catfish! Also I'm a sucker for a super simple salad bar as long as the ingredients are fresh and this did not disappoint! Thank you cooks we will def be coming back when we visit rising star!.
The food is great but what I love the most about this place is the environment! Simply down to earth type of people dining! Also the workers are all really friendly!!!
This place is a solid 4 stars if you like good old fashioned restaurants. The fried catfish is amazing. Other than that, it really drops off. Average salad bar. Average French fries. Below average everything else. The fish makes up for it.
I really like this place. Have been going sense I was a little boy. Sometimes there's live music. I like how the tables are set up it's like family dining with everyone there. Would have givin 5 starts but the fly's we're a little much last time I was there but I guess that's to be expected way out in the country in Texas
My family has been going here for years but I've only been one time. I love their all you can eat catfish and I know it has to be hard to keep up with demand on a Saturday night but the only reason there aren't five stars in this review is because there were a couple of pieces of fish which were not as fresh as the others. Besides that, there are plenty of tables and the fish has outstanding flavor. Their salad bar is excellent as well.
This was our third trip to Cook's Fish Barn and we again enjoyed our visit. Simple and straight forward dining. They stay busy and for good reason.
